One or two active classes
20 AI credits, 15 active students per course and 500 MB storage.
Best when you are getting started or running a small teaching load.
The core classroom is free. Pro adds capacity, reuse, advanced coordination and the complete analytics picture.
Both plans can run a real class from enrollment through grading and released feedback. The quickest way to choose is to look at how many classes you run at once and whether you need the Pro-only coordination tools.

500 AI credits, unlimited active courses, 100 students per course under standard fair use and 10 GB storage.
Best when you need full analytics, sequencing, reuse, live check-in or public sharing.
1 AI credit is approximately 1 paper graded*
Actual usage of credits will depend on the complexity of the grading/AI work calculated by ProfDesk. This table intentionally shows only the differences. Shared features are listed above so the comparison stays readable.

AI register scans use monthly AI credits but have no separate attendance cap. The Pro student figure is a standard fair-use guideline, not per-student billing; contact support for a larger cohort.
ProfDesk Pro includes 1 co-instructor place. A place is one colleague on one course, counted across every course you own, so the same colleague on a second course uses a second place. Invitations are sent by email from Course Settings, and a pending invitation holds the place until it is accepted or withdrawn.
The invited colleague grades, publishes learning modules, edits assessments and sees the roster. The course stays yours: its storage, its AI credits and its billing remain on your account, and the invited course never counts against their own active-course allowance, whatever plan they are on. If your Pro subscription lapses they drop to read-only rather than losing the course, and reactivating restores their access with no new invitation.
An add-on for additional co-instructor places is coming soon. Until then, removing a co-instructor frees the place for another course. Full detail, including what a co-instructor cannot do, is in the Co-Instructors guide.
The layout does not change when you upgrade. Pro adds the complete analytics, Course Health and coordination tools to the same course dashboard.
You can create as many courses as you like. Up to 2 are fully editable and open to students at once. Additional courses are Locked (Read-Only): teachers and students can still view existing content, grades and submissions, but editing and AI are disabled. From My Courses, use Make Active to replace a current active course after 30 days.
The limit is per course, not per account. Your overall Roster is unlimited, and removing or disabling an enrollment frees a place immediately. Downgrading never removes students: an existing larger class keeps every enrollment, submission and grade; you simply cannot add another student until the course falls below the Free allowance or Pro is restored.
