What Pro changes

Pro is about scale, reuse and visibility

The teaching tools stay familiar. Pro removes repeated work and reveals the complete operational picture.

Run every class at once

Keep unlimited courses active, enroll larger classes and move between courses without a waiting period.

Sequence the learning path

Set prerequisites, completion rules, opening dates and separate late-work closing dates, with Course Health watching for conflicts.

See the complete picture

Reveal every at-risk student, the full CLO/PLO attainment matrix, per-outcome detail and CSV exports.

Reuse work you already built

Re-teach a course, copy modules between courses and pull saved questions from a bank into any quiz.

Remove the paper bottlenecks

Match scanned papers without a monthly matching cap and let students mark attendance through timed live check-in codes.

Share beyond enrolled students

Publish selected modules with an access code and invite up to three observers across your roster.

Teach a course with a colleague

Bring one colleague into a course to grade, publish modules and see the roster. Their work is credited to them, and the course, its files and its billing stay with you.

Only the differences

Free vs Pro, side by side

Features included on both plans are listed above, so this table stays focused on what actually changes.

AI credits in plain language

Credits follow actual AI usage

1 AI credit is approximately 1 paper graded*

Actual usage of credits will depend on the complexity of the grading/AI work calculated by ProfDesk.
Free20 credits

A monthly allowance for trying any ProfDesk AI feature.

Pro500 credits

A larger monthly allowance. Need more for an unusually heavy workload? Ask us.

Use the same shared credits across grading, rubrics, matching, quizzes, study tools and similarity checks.

Questions, answered

Pricing FAQ

What is an AI credit?

1 AI credit is approximately 1 paper graded as a simple rule of thumb. AI credits are shared across grading and every other ProfDesk AI feature. Short requests usually use a fraction of a credit; long documents and detailed responses use more.

Does bulk grading cost more?

No bulk surcharge is added. Individual and bulk grading use the same credit calculation, based on the complexity of the work.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Only AI actions pause until the next monthly reset. Courses stay open, students keep submitting, and manual grading in ZenGrader keeps working.

Can I create more than two courses on Free?

Yes. Course creation is unlimited. Up to 2 courses are editable and open to students at once; additional courses remain read-only until you replace an active course or upgrade.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

Pro remains active through the paid billing period. Existing students, submissions and grades are never removed. Courses beyond the Free active-course allowance become read-only until you reactivate them or upgrade again.

Can a colleague help me teach a course?

On Pro, yes. Pro includes 1 co-instructor place: one colleague on one of your courses, invited by email from Course Settings. They grade, publish learning modules and see the roster, while the course, its storage, its AI credits and its billing stay on your account. A place covers one colleague on one course, and an add-on for additional places is coming soon.

Are there ads or per-student fees?

No. Neither plan shows ads, and Pro is one flat monthly price for an individual teacher. The standard fair-use guideline is 100 active students per course.

* A payment method is required to start the 15-day trial, but nothing is charged today. Unless cancelled before October 17, 2026, the subscription continues at $5 / month.
